About
Hello, I’m a graphic designer in Dallas, Texas.
My interest in design dates back to my childhood, when I obsessed over creating flyers for my dad’s hardware sales agency and personalized greeting cards for family. During my senior year in high school, I enjoyed working on the yearbook production staff so much that I decided to pursue design in college.
I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 2008. My emphasis was design, but I gained valuable reporting, writing and editing skills as well. Indeed, working for the Columbia Missourian, a daily newspaper staffed by students, was part of the curriculum. Several of my designs for the Missourian were recognized by the Student Society of News Design (SSND). I enhanced what I learned at MU with summer internships at local newspapers in my hometown of south suburban Chicago. During my senior year, The Dallas Morning News recruited me for an internship, so I moved to Dallas, where I’ve been living and working since.
My positions have included graphic designer at Garver, a civil engineering firm; art director of the Texas Jewish Post, a weekly tabloid newspaper more popularly known as the TJP; and graphic designer of CPA Magazine and Collection Advisor, national magazines serving accounting and collection professionals. I’m also a member of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications (DSVC).
